This little man is 6 months old. Chaz is such a great baby! We have kept him on a schedule and because of it, he is happy, fun, and a social baby! We usually always know why he is fussy, if he ever is. If you are going to have a baby, be sure to read 'Healthy Sleep Habbits, Happy Child' and 'Baby Wise', and 'Happiest Baby on the Block'. They are miraculous, and I swear by them!

We have many nick names for Chaz. Monkey, Punkin, Z, Chazzy, Baby Traz ( from Lucy). He has been rolling over since he was 4 months. He hates to be on his tummy. He's feet are like a monkeys, and if anything gets near them, he grabs it and hangs on! So funny! He sleeps 12 hours at night and takes 3 naps during the day. I tried to switch to only 2, but he gets way too tired. Anyone else have this happen? Loves any kind of food we give him. Loves to hang out in the salon while I work. Quite the womanizer all ready! Loves his bouncer, and if he goes to the bathroom while in it, it goes straight out of his diaper and...WHAT A MESS! I'm talking, all the way up to his neck! Nasty. Loves to take baths. Loves attention. Just started spitting and blowing. Quite the little chatter box, once he gets going! Already trying to out talk his dad!

So far, having a baby is the most wonderful thing! I can't wait to play with him every waking minute. He's so cute when we go and get him from waking up. We pretty much take him every where we go and it never seams to be a problem, as long as we keep him on his nap schedule. How did we get so lucky?

Uncle Rollie

Last Tues, Jan 3rd, My Dad's brother, my Uncle Rollin unexpectedly passed away. I still can't believe it happened, and especially the day after we returned home from my Grammy's funeral in St George. I have been very emotional as of late. I feel drained and yet so thankful. I also feel overwhemed and guilty. I think of my young cousins and ask why I'm so lucky to get to have my dad, and have him able to come to my wedding and see my kids and keep making memories with him. I know and understand this is part of life and what we agreed to. I look at them and how strong they are and how they deal with this, and I don't know how they can. I made all these new year's resolutions, and now not one of them matters, except to be better, and to make more of an effort to show my loved ones that I love them and to spend as much time as possible with them. Hearing how everyone says they remember my Uncle, is so humbling to me. Everyone said how kind and nonjudgemental he is, and what a hard worker, and thoughtful man he is. How he's so charitable. I now have these goals, and to hopefully have people remember me this way too. I have the type of personality where sometimes I feel like I need to let people know what I think, if I feel they are wrong. I also don't let people walk all over me. I know that sometimes I can be mean and I do things that I end up wishing that I didn't. I am judgemental. I now want to change these things about myself. I want to have more empathy for people and their way of doing things. I want to have more grace. I want to do more things for others, because I know I am very self involved. I want to not feel the need to be competitive with wants and needs. This has also made me feel so fortunate to have everything I have, and really family is what is most important. The Holidays

Right before Christmas, My dear Grammy Nelson passed away. She was 83. She was beautiful, kind, courageous, thoughtful, happy, funny, sweet, wise, thoughful, strong, witty, pleasant, and so dear to my heart. She had been living at my mom's this past year because she was struggling and because of it, I got to spend much more time with her. She has been in so much pain, and went through so much the last year of her life, so for her to be relieved of her pain is such a blessing, yet I miss her so very much. I'm so glad she got to meet Chaz. She was living in St. George befor she moved here and if she didn't come, I don't know that they would've ever met. I'm so happy that she gets to be with my Grandpa now! When he died, a little bit of my grandma did too. I believe in gardian angels and know they will be watching over us! It was too much fun having a baby at Christmas! He is so spoiled. He got fishing waders from Travis's mom, and she made them! By far the best present for Trav and Chaz!

I was extra excited to do Christmas cards this year, for this very reason! We either needed a dog or a baby. Who knew this would be so exciting for me! He is our little monkey!

Halloween. Fish. Pole. Bait.

In the middle of Oct. we took a boating trip to Sand Hollow in St. George. It was so needed, since I couldn't go all summer. Chaz was perfect. I'm so thrilled to have a baby that does so well where ever we go. We are sure to keep him on his schedule, and it keeps us all happy.

It feels so great to be doing the things I was before a baby. When I was pregnant, it felt like I would never be in shape again, or be able to do the fun stuff that I really love to do.

Things are very busy for us, and I feel like I don't get anything done. Mainly because I want to stare at Chaz and be with him every second possible. We take him everywhere we go and he brings so much life and fun! He hangs out at work with me, and is quite the girl enthusiast! He already flirts so much. But he just hangs out and is a perfect little baby. I can't even believe how fun he is and how well it works out. I'm wondering what the trade off is?? Next baby is rotten, all people tell me. So I'll enjoy every second I can!

I'll make this as short as I can.... but there has been lots going on with us! As you can see, we are busy playing with our little love! He is so fun, and such a happy baby. We can't get enough of him. I thought by now I would want some sort of break, but I can't wait to spend every min I can with this handsome guy!

He's been loving his bumbo seat! (Thanks so much Lauren!) He's been able to use it since about 6 or 7 weeks.

This day we went hiking in the Uintahs. We go on lots of hikes! Chaz loves it!

We blessed Chaz on Sept 4th. It was such a great day. Other than the blow out, in his perfectly white blessing clothes!

We took Chaz boating and he loved it!!

Went to Fish Lake with all the Gillespie's last weekend for Trav's parents 50th b days. It was gorgeous! We took our bikes, went fishing, hiking. It was so fun.

Gone in 60 Seconds

Does anyone else feel like this last month flew by in 60 seconds? I can't believe it! Chaz is 5 weeks old and has just been so much fun! We've been out with him alot on walks and picnics and to visit everyone. He's been such a good baby..... we are waiting for the trade off! We feel so lucky and don't know how it happened! this is Chaz and his cousin Gage

1 month old!

The term " sleeping like a baby" brings a whole new meaning! Nothing phases them when they want their sleep!

2 weeks old at a family reunion. We never knew being parents really is the best thing ever! We love love love this little munchkin and can't get enough of him! I feel like it would be really easy to be one of those parents who make their kids so attached to them that they never want to leave! I'll try not to!

I can't believe it! Our little angel is 2 weeks old. I have been meaning to post this ever since he was born, but I haven't wanted to spend one second away from him that I didn't have to! He has been so incredibly fun and wonderful! I don't know how we got so lucky to have him, and to have him be such a great baby! Well.... I'll begin with the nursery, we added a few things. We made a cornus for the window.

We hung pics and I made a bird mobile. I took the whole month of July off, and he wasn't born until the 14th, (4 days late) so I had fun working on a few projects!

Well this was the morning we had him! I ended up having to have a c section, because I wasn't dialating and he never dropped. We actually loved doing it this way!! We had a time we were scheduled, I never had to do labor, and it took about 20 min! I was nervous about my recovery, but it really hasn't been bad and really I'm so happy about it all!

Travis begged for a cap like McSteamy! He hated the puffy white one they gave him below, and so the nurse got a kick out of Travis and happily gave him a new one!

While we were waiting to be taken back, Travis was cracking me up! Here he said he was a Bee keeper! We were just so excited and nervous, that we were making ourselves laugh to calm ourselves!

Here he is! Such an angel from the beginning! He stopped crying and went so calm the second they brought him to me and he heard my voice! I've never experienced anything so great in my life!

I've never been so proud of something in all my life!

He really just sleeps all the time, and when he is awake he just looks around, and is so content. I hope it lasts!

They Call it Nesting

Picking a name for this little guy, was easy for us. Chaz Jeffrey Gillespie. We have liked the name Chaz for about 3 years, and the day we found out we are having a boy, we instantly started calling him that without any question! It seams like there is so much anticipation for people to know what you are going to name your baby. They can't wait to hear! For us we picture Chaz to be a stud, and amazing at everything he does, and when we are at his baseball games we can hear ourselves yelling, "GO CHAZ!" I also personally love that the name Chaz is a nick name for Charles. I can also see myself throwing that in with an English accent here and there!

We started working on Chaz's nursery about a month ago, and it has been so fun to try and imagine a baby in here! I really didn't want it to look too babyish. I wanted some uniquness, funness and happy! Cause that's exactly what I picture about a boy made by Travis and I! We still need to get a glider chair, but we put this one in there for now! We still need to hang some things on the wall, and put different things on the night stand and dresser.

We found this mini armore on KSL. It was red. I painted the edges tourquoise, then painted it all white, then sanded the edges so the tourquoise would show through, then glazed it gray. Then mod podged cute orange paper on ( you can't see the cute pattern on the paper here) Then added cute knobs!

This is how it all started! I found this rug from Anthropology and I died. So this is the focal point. But I decided to leave out the fuchsia!

We found this awsome brick panelling at Lowe's. It's 3D, and all we had to do was nail it to the wall! I still need to find bedding, which I just want to be white or gray.Travis got this hammock on his mission in the Carribean. He used to sleep in it, and it couldn't be a more perfect fun addition to this room!

AAAAhhhhhh yes, here is the proud momma! I can't believe how hard this little dude already kicks me! I only have about 7 weeks left!! It really is soooo exciting. Even though I'm scared to death to give birth, cause there is only one way this guy's coming out and from the way he has already been a stinker, I can only imagine, he won't let me forget it!!

I really hate posing for pictures while I'm prego, and this is what I really want to do to the camera! But that's my only complaint for right now!!

Maui Babymoon!

Aww! I miss it so much! Maui! It was our first time, and what a way to spend my whole 24th week of pregnantness! It was so great and really was relaxing! First things FIRST! We found the best shaved ice place. Macadamia nut ice cream on bottom, then coconut flavor with leche and sweet and condensed milk! We had to get one everyday!

This was at Gazebo, the BESTEST breakfast place ever! Macadamia nut french toast with coconut syrup! I loved eating here, and I loved being pregnant here because I took total advantage!

??? Everyone needs a vacation

Like I said, they had the best food and we ate a ton! This was at Aloha Mixed Plate, another one of our favorites!

We tried paddle boarding and it was our favorite thing we did in Maui! So fun and peaceful! Even for a 6 month prego lady!

Oh BOY! That's right!( That explains why all I want is man food, lots of meat and cheese!) And we could not be more excited about it!! Knowing that he is in fact a he, and not one bit shy about it according to the ultrasound, has made this even more real and exciting for us! We were so relieved to know that everything else looks great and healthy! We promptly ran out right after the appt to buy him his first clothes! I cannot wait to meet and dress this little man, and he

is indubitably going to be one spoiled little BOY!!
We also felt it was very appropriate that his very first outfit be a swimming suit, and we plan on raising him on the boat!!;)

Ok so, shopping around for baby stuff right now kind of feels like me trying to write a song. I have no idea what I'm doing and what to shop for. So I want to ask all mom's what their favorites are. Anything, strollers, diapers, blankets, binkies, cribs, clothes, your must haves, etc. Also stuff for being prego, maternity clothes, supplements, just whatever! I'm dreading mom jeans (Mom to be jeans). I tried some on and I felt as hideous as they seem to be to me. This whole metamorphosis of my body is not so cute to me. Doesn't help that I'm kind of always ornery, sick, but I somehow want to eat the grossest things, like a Big Mac or spaghettios and meat balls. Don't worry, I'll even eat those weird circus peanut candy things. I used to always think, "why do they even make those, and who would ever eat them?" The person who did make them, was obviously pregnant. I'll tell you what though, my favorite thing right now, every night taking a bubble bath while eating gobstoppers, and listening to music while playing solitaire. Heaven.

Well I'd love your input, so please spill the beans!!

Travis and I are so excited! I am pregnant and due July 11th! So I'm about 3 months along, and so far, the only good thing is, if I don't want to do something, I just say I'm sick! But I pretty much am all the time! We surprised our families on Christmas Eve and told them, and they were all so shocked and excited! It was so hard not to tell anyone and I'll never wait that long again, but we wanted to make sure it was safe, and also because we thought it'd be fun! I've found it interesting how our focus has totally changed. The things we used to worry about, don't seem to matter. We always talk about what's he (according to Travis) will look like. What type of personality, attributes of each other our baby will have. It really seamed time for us and we can't wait! So here we go!

This fall the weather this was was incredible, and so we were able to get out a lot and do the things we love!
These were family pics we took over Thanksgiving with my family. Looking at these pics made me realize how big my family is getting!

We did a bit of biking. Here we are with Mallory and Greg, (Trav's sister and her husband) at the Wasatch Crest trail. It started in Big Cottonwood canyon and ended in Mill Creek Canyon. It was beautiful!

Every time a new season comes, I feel like the change, makes me want other changes in certain areas of life. We have some fun changes come up and it feels so good!

We sold our boat, and got a new one! Pictures are to come later! It's a Master craft X-30. We found it in Reno, for such a great deal, we couldn't pass it up! Who do we think we are? Who buys a boat when they should buy a house? Us of course! We took it to Lake Powell for a week over Labor Day. One of the best decisions we've make thus far in life;) We loved our old boat, but it wasn't made to do the things we wanted to be doing, like wake boarding, and surfing. Wow, what a difference this new boat is! I've wanted to do most of the driving, which is also a change! I wanted to learn how to do the hitch, work all the buttons,and everything... who knows why! It's been so worth the investment, and we love to do it together, and can't wait to do it with our kids! It's always a fun time!

A day after Lake Powell, Travis headed out to Milwaukee, for 3 weeks for training, on a new position at work. Ever since Trav started working at Dentrix, he has wanted this position. He was told to apply for it a few months ago, and waiting to hear back was so stressful, but I've never seen him that happy since the day he married me!;) So now he is a field rep for Henry Schien, and travels around Utah to Dentist's offices to try to get them to let him be their rep. It totally fits his personality, and he is so motivated. His office is at home now, so that's been great! I went out to visit him in the middle of training, and we went to Chicago. I LOVED it! I can't wait to go back! It reminded me so much of NYC, but smaller, and soo much friendlier!

So Travis got home on Friday, and Sat we went to go trail running up AF canyon, and at the last second, decided to hike TIMP! It was such a beautiful day, and I'd never done it. I for sure didn't realize how far it was, and we were booking it up! When we were about 15 min from reaching the peak, down came this guy and his 18 year old daughter. We were so tired, and we stopped to let them by, and as they got closer, we heard her just chatting her heart out, and walking so fast, and not even looking at where she was going. She was pretty severely autistic, and just darling. It was soooo not a good time to see her up there bouncing around the mountain and not watching her steps. It is seriously sketchy at the top, and I felt like a wuss compared to her!

I'll never look at that mountain the same! I pretty much kicked it in the growing... felt good to conquer it! And we are still soar!

We just saw 500 days of Summer...cutest show ever! I was dying at this part and thought, "If only.. if only we could dance like that in the street when we felt this good, and everyone was color coordinated, and in unison!" Life would be good!

It's been HOT! On Friday and Sat, swimming wasn't enough to find relief from this heat!

So I remembered about the Root Beer stand at Vivian Park, and it has always looked sooo refreshing and delicious, and it sounded so good! So I drove my nephews and I up there!

Lake Mead

Last April, my brother Aaron and his family moved to Henderson, NV. My other brother Curtis and his family live in Vegas and we thought it'd be fun to take an early boating trip to Lake Mead and visit family! So we headed down, in the first part of May. Andrew and Melissa came with us! We took a boat ride over to Hoover Dam. The weather was so nice, it was so fun to sit and enjoy the scenery!

We found some ducks, and thought it'd be fun to feed them. We found out they don't like EZ cheese! Then we left and went on a drive, about 5 or 6 miles away. We stopped to hang out again, and after a while, guess who showed up? That's right! The ducks! They had found us! We were so happy and stunned, so we feed them some more!

The girls in my family had a baby shower for Deon at The Chocolate! Holy cow, so Yummy! This cute Mommy is due in a few short weeks with a girl!

WE pretty much licked our plates clean!

Easter was fun, going to both families. I found a great hiding place to scare the kids for the hunt!

We had to find our baskets out behind Travis's family's house, and it was seriously hard! Always tons of great goodies in these baskets!

I had a birthday a few weeks ago, on actually the hottest day of the year, March 29th, so we went to breakfast, then went snowboarding for the last time this season, and it was beautiful! Only had to wear a long sleeve shirt! And I feel like we just ate and ate food all day!

Dry Shampoo

I've been hearing about dry shampoos for a while, and I am a fan of just using baby powder. I decided to try this one from Sexy hair, and I am very impressed! It really does work, and saves me on the days I don't wash my hair! It's a clay and mineral based product. It helps add body, because it absorbs excess oils and product build up in your hair. The first time I used it, I held it too close to my head, and it looked like I spray painted white into my hair! "Hi, I'm Grandma!" If you use this, just make sure to hold it out away from your head!;)

In the next week, we will be adding, 2 people to our family! Both my little brother, and Travis's little brother are getting married!This is my brother Andrew, and Melissa! We are so lucky to have every single in-law, be nothing but perfect! How did we get so lucky?! She fits in perfectly with our family! She has the best personality, and her and Andrew are so funny, and happy together! Couldn't have hand picked a more perfect fit!! Love you!!

While Hybernating...

Every year at this time, I get in these moods. Probably because it's so cold and we are inside all the time, and I start noticing all the things in my house that bug me! So here are some pic of the changes! And cheers to having a husband who can do it as i command!!!;) So I sold the drapes in my last post, and got these new ones. I LOVE them! They are sort of a burlap material and have a leaf button where they fold over the rod!

We got this cute swivel chair at Evans Gatehouse! It is so comfortable!! We were in need of more seating, and we love this little addition!

Some Pillows!

I don't know why, but I'm a huge fan of randomness! As you can tell from everything we've been doing, everything is random and I love it! And I also have this bird fetish right now!! I love the bird pillows!

Growing up, my mom always had picture frame collages, and so I gathered all the frames we had, and made this one! It was so fun looking for pictures to go in them! Travis and I have had so much fun together, and this is a great way to remember all we've done!

We added chandlers above the 2 stations in my salon! They just make me happy!

We bought a bunch of knobs, and I decided to make them into coat hangers! This is one of my favorite things we've done!

It's fun to be creative and see how things turn out! And really I'm so glad Travis is willing to help and to give advice and do most of the work!!! Now where is that sun??? What does it feel like to be warm? Come on Spring!!!

It was my Dad's 60th so we decided to have a surprise party! Our family will remember it forever because it ended up being one of the funnest days with our whole family! This is him walking in, and looking at my mom, cause he was so confused!! She had to tell her first lie to get him to come!! It's okay mom! ;) We made him a cake out of jelly filled donuts because they are his fav! And of coarse, with sorbet ice cream! Can't you tell how excited we all were to eat it by the way we were crowded around it?? We proceeded to have a talent show! We all did things we haven't done, in years!! So FUNNY! So our favorite Jordan is home from his mission! In celebration, we went to Lake Powell. Our annual trip has become mandatory!

We have some very exciting news! Travis and I just bought a boat! We are so excited and there has been so much anticipation, so yesterday was our first real day, where we actually wake boarded. We were out there all day and couldn't get enough of it!

We also got a new ride! I love my wake board!

Helmets are a must for this fearless hunk of mine! Boating is my all time favorite thing and I feel so lucky that we really have one now! We are pretty much planning to go out everyday after work if the weather is good, so let us know if you want to come! It will be a party!! Now it feels like summer!

Here is our $15 snow cone maker from Wal-Mart! It has been the best money ever spent. Every night we have a tradition, we have arts and crafts time,(Travis ties flies, and I make hair barretts) and eat snow cones! They are so refreshing, and we just can't get enough of them! They do more than mollify our taste buds!

The best flavors, are the sugar free ones,they aren't as sugary and it doesn't hurt that each serving is 5 calories! Here's to a happy summer, cheers, let's have a snow cone!

My Grandpa's grave is in St. George, so whenever we get the chance for Memorial weekend, my family loves to go visit it. We stayed in some condos in Green Valley. My favorite part of the trip was that it was 100% sunny! We spent all the time we could swimming!

Yankees were playing and so we did what we do best! Eat and party!

For some reason we think it's funny to act like mannequins are alive, and we take pictures with them???

This is my Mom's Dad's grave. He was my Indian grandpa, who I am so proud to honor. He's been gone for 11 years, and I miss him so much. I love all the memories I still have of him.

A Perfect Weekend

This last weekend Travis had a trade show in Anaheim, and I decided to go with! On Friday, I was able to go to some of my favorite clients house in Coto de Caza, and do their hair. Everyday I would wake up, work out for how ever long I wanted, and not feel rushed, and then laid by the pool all afternoon by myself and read, then shop for a while until Travis came back, then we'd all go to dinner, at the companies expense. It was heaven! What more could I ask for? Nothing! We stayed at a darling hotel by Disneyland called The Candy Cane Inn. I felt like I was in a cartoon. There were cute little birds chirping all day, it smelt like candy and flowers, and there were cute trees and flowers, and bright colors everywhere! I loved it! Going back to work was so hard and my legs were not used to it. That's it, I'm going back to the pool!

So we made it back to reality. Travis and I just got back from a cruise with my sister Deon and her hubby Scott. It went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. Here are a thousand pictures to prove it!

We were able to spend New Years at Jared and Heather Morris's cabin in Bear Lake. It was my first time there, and it is soo beautiful!

We went snow shoeing. Pretty much to Mount Everest. That's what happens when you get a bunch of ambitious and determined people together, they get these crazy ideas!

Yeah, so I've never been to a midnight showing for any movie, and I've never had so much anticipation and shortness of breath, leading up to a movie like I did for Twilight!! As well as every other girl. I knew there was going to be a ton of ridiculous people who think this stuff is real, but I actually found myself to be over enthused about it as well! My brother-in-law had a gig up at Sundance at the Owl bar. He is so so so talented. We had a blast. At this point in the picture, this kid started dancing, and took his shirt off.

Once a month we rotate hosting parties with our friends. This month Scott and Jocelyn hosted, and decided to have "Twilight" be the theme. Can you guess who everyone is? All the Edwards were even glittery! I'm sure we all thought the guys were rolling their eyes about having to dress up, but not Travis! He was obsessed about being Emmet. I was dying!! He read Twilight, and hasn't stopped talking about Emmet. He wouldn't be anyone else. He threw a fit when I suggested something else! I loved it!

Until last week, I was a Disneyland virgin. I'm 24, and I can now grow up! We went with the Gillespie family. Last year for Christmas, Travis's parents got everyone tickets, and we just barely went. It was long anticipated!

New Projects

So my sister April is very talented, and offered to help me try and learn to make some drapes, so lets be honest, her and my mom did most of the work, and I am so glad because look at how beautiful they turned out! At least I hung them! Ok so maybe Travis did.... but I took the pictures.

So for the last 2 years, I've been trying to decide what to do in our room, and so I decided to wallpaper! Every time I said that so someone, their facial expression, dropped to confusion and they would say, "oh...." I'm sure they were thinking of the 1970s wallpaper with teddy bears and weird things! So here are before and after pictures! We were just about to paint in the one above so everything is piled on my bed and it's blurry, but I guess it just adds to the end result!

This picture doesn't do it any justice! I totally love it and my favorite part is the chandelier! It was hard to get a good angel, and try to get it all, and this makes my room look even smaller than it really is! I want to make drapes, ( well have April make drapes!) to go in here, so hopefully I'll get around to that soon!

Every year we go to Lake Powell in Sept with Travis's Aunt and their fam and then his uncle and their fam. The weather was perfect! 90 degrees, and the water temp was 82. There was no wind. I could live there.

The Fun Never Stops!!

We spent Labor Day weekend in St. George at our friends condo. It was such a blast. We did some biking, hiking, swimming, shopping, and lots of Rock band!!!! It was pretty pathetic how easily entertained we were by this game as you can tell! All night, all day.
Travis got pretty into it and started jumping on the couch.
We went hiking and climbing. It was so good to spend so much time outside.

Bo and Bronx. It was a little windy!!The kids found a frog, and at first, they were so scared of it and wouldn't even touch it. About 20 min later, they were squeezing it, and trying to feed it chips, and it was their best friend! Poor frog...

Just getting done eating at the best place ever!! The Bear Paw. Then the trip was complete!

The weekend before, we went to our friends cabin in Lava. And we can always count on the best times ever!

We started off by fishing at the Lava Ranch pond!Cute Scott and Jocie!!!We went swimming and floated down the river on tubes the next day. Travis and Nick on the top platform. They are insane!!
The 2 cutest little girls ever!! The best was when we found Travis playing house upstairs with these 2 girls. He was the dad. We spied on them, and he was fighting, saying he wanted to go fishing. It hit a little too close to home! It was so cute! We always have so much fun. It's one of those trips where everyone gets along and we dread having to go home.

This summer has been so busy, but we were able to finally squeeze in a quick trip to Cali! We drove, but I had my new Breaking Dawn book, so it was all good. (By the way, I'm pretty happy that there is finally some better action between Edward and Bella! It was painful to read before! I know the author is LDS and all, but seriously, way to get me all into it, and then, ---ruin it!!! ha ha haha!!) We started off our trip to The Grove Mall in Hollywood. Our main stop was for Travis's little sister Addie who turned 10 and wanted to go to the American Girl Doll store. This mall was amazing!! Love it!

Then we went to an Angels baseball game, and who do you think they were playing? The Yankees!!

P.S. My hair is darker now.
What's a game with out.... chew!!!
The next day we went to New Port beach. It was prefect weather! Travis always looks like this when he eats cookies. He's always flexing and sucking in. It's just natural!!!

Then we stayed our last night at Jeremy and Stefanie's house in Bakersfield. They have a pool and this is everyone playing the game where you have to push the other person off their floaty. Apparently is was pretty fun! Cause there is only one girl, yet all I heard was giggling and girl screams!! We had a blast!!

Reunion at Kaibab and Grand Canyon

Last weekend we had a quick trip to Kaibab national forest for my mom's side family reunion. It is like 30 min from the North rim of the Grand canyon, so we headed down there also. We had it there because my Grandpa grew up near there. It's absolutely beautiful. 2 of my cute nephews, trying to act like they are up to nothing!

River Rats

So we decided, that for the 4th, Travis and I wanted to do something, just the two of us since there has been so much going on this summer. We decided to take his boat down the Green River again, and to take our bikes, and to camp. So no fireworks this year, and you know, I don't really care.

He should seriously be a fish. The river was freezing, and it never even phased him. I even realized Gillespie has the word " Gill" in it.

I made a sweet set up, a bed, a couple of books and magazines,the sun, and food!!
We rode this little 3 mile trail. It wasn't too intense, but had a great view that you ride to.

I've decided that this is my new favorite thing to do. Floating is so relaxing and it's so beautiful. The weather was perfect, and Travis was happy because he was fishing. Camping was so fun too. I forgot how good tin foil dinners are!! So it was a great 4th and I hope all of yours were too!

My cutest little brother just got back from his mission in Taiwan last Tuesday. We are so excited about it! He's is so funny and it's been so great to have him back around! Travis and I went to the Green River with some of his friends, and floated down, and they all fished while I worked on my tan and read! It was so beautiful and peaceful.

Last Sat my bro in law performed at Thanksgiving Point. It was so fun! He is the lead singer and is amazing!!

On Monday night we went to a Blaze game with my family. We had a blaze! I mean a blast!

Now I know you are all wondering, why in the world, would I go to Detroit. Trust me if I was going to go all the way there, it had better be good. Indeed it was! I went with my dad, 2 of my brothers, and my sister, to sit front row, at 2 baseball games, to see the N Y Yankees play the Tigers. We are the world's biggest Yankee fans. (We even put an NY on our roof in Christmas lights during Christmas) It's so weird because I feel like we are like best friends with the players, and to only give me a head nod, well that really hurt my feelings!

My sister got her ball autographed while I tried to take pictures. We pretty much risked our lives. The players come over, and everyone swarms like ants on a cookie. I kept taking pictures of some one's head cause I was getting pushed so bad.

Alright so the Yankees ended up losing, but they won the next day!! Then Sat night we went to the Red wings hockey game against the Dallas Stars. We also got 2nd row seats, and they are in the play offs! I now love hockey so much!! It was a great weekend!!

Best Vacation Ever!!

Well today was the first day back to work after being in Paradise for a week. We had so much fun! It was so hard to leave to come home and to try to force ourselves out of bed this morning! Here are some pic's of all the fun!! Warning There are tons of picture especially close ups!!
Day 1- 5:00 am flight to Puerto Rico! Notice our then pasty white faces!Walking up to the top deck to see the boat take off! Out of no where, it started raining so hard!

Day 2- Every morning we would all meet for breakfast, and plan out our day, this day we were in St. Thomas, and we went to Koci beach and snorkeled, played cricket (notice Travis's bat in the picture which got confiscated when we came back on the cruise boat because they said it could be used as a weapon), we also played Frisbee, ate at this great beach side grill named Mailman's.

Playing cricket! It was so fun and everyone was watching us. We don't know if it's because they enjoyed watching, of if they were in fear of looking away because we might hit them with the ball!

They have these awesome cases you can put your camera in to make it water proof. Only $20!! They work great!
Every night we had a fancy dinner! yum yum!

Day3- Dominica, was very rain forest like, we found the most awesome guide/taxi driver named Shy Guy. I wanted to bring him home and have him be my best friend. Total rasta.
So beautiful!

Then we swam threw these caves to get to this other waterfall. It's the same one Johnny Depp swam through in Pirate of the Caribbean. It was to cool.

Formal Night! We saw some pretty sweet get up there! Remember Saved by the bell? Puffy sleeves? Yeah.
Day 4- Barbados! We rented scooters and cruised to Silver sands beach. Some went body surfing, and some layed out!
The beaches were like a dream. This picture is almost perfect. Travis's hair ruins it! J/K (but seriously)
They drive on the opposite side of the road. With the combination of that, and Travis driving, we almost got hit a few times.

Day 5- St. Lucia, Boat tour!
This was a bat cave! You could hear and see bats!

Day 6-Antigua! 365 beautiful beaches. A beach for everyday of the year. They were by far the most beautiful. We went to one called Long Bay. The sand was soooo soft. There was a huge reef to snorkel on. There were all these cute shops, and a asked one lady how much this cute dress was, and she started talking Spanish to me, so i said, "In English?" she said, "oh I thought you were Spanish!" I smiled so hard! It was the best part of the trip!!!

Day 7 St. Kitts-We took a tour around the whole island and took stops at these really pretty places. So Travis found his shirt and the little shops, and loved it soo much he wore it for 2 days straight! So if you see him be sure to tell him it rocks!

So I did it. I finally graduated from college. Next stop the Caribbean for 7 days of pure enjoyment and relaxation. We'll add more to this post with the specifics of the graduation and party. Plus stay tuned for post cruise pics.

We Have Big News! And There's No Turning Back!

That's right! We are going on a cruise! I'm not pregnant, so don't ever ask! Travis will be graduation in 2 weeks, and he just so happened to serve his mission in the West Indies, which is the Caribbean Islands! So we decided to plan it and go visit and celebrate at the same time! We are so excited. I don't mean to brag, but I kind of do! If you have any advice let us know! As for Lindy, now is the time to go to war, and see who wins! Come and Join us! April 27th!

We spent the weekend in St. George and we could feel ourselves coming out of a depression that we didn't realize we were suffering from! We went down for Travis's little brother's baseball tournament. We went Biking, swimming, played tennis, played Rock Band, and ate tons of great food!

Five Random Things About Me

1. I've always wanted to be in an all girl band. I'm all about girl power, and I've always wanted to be able to rock out with all chicks!! So I also wish I could sing!

2. I have a hard time focusing when I'm reading books. I'll read a part and it will make me think of something else and before you know it I've solved the book in my own way in my head, and I have to go back like 3 pages because I will all of the sudden realize I have no idea what the heck I just read! I'm a big day dreamer!!

3. I used to be so embarrassed by my feet. I used to be jealous of girls with cute feet and hated taking off my shoes and socks and would try to avoid it as much as possible. I would even sit on them and try to hide them, and I always wondered what certain people's feet looked like. Like I would judge if they were cute or not by their feet. (I'm laughing so hard because this sounds so stupid right now.) But I love my feet now!

4. When I was little, I had the worst temper and my nick name was Psycho Sid after this WWF wrestler! I would freak out and my mom would order my brothers to take me to my room and I would latch onto the door frame and they couldn't pry me. My mom was so thankful that I mellowed out before I was a teenager!

5. I'm scared to be a mom and have kids. I'm afraid they'll die or be rotten like me (or even worse, like Travis) or that they will be made fun of or not cute.

Snowboarding at Sundance

Saturday we went to Sundance, and it was one of the best snow days! There was pretty much a white out which made so much new snow. Which also means, the further away we are from getting rid of it! We finally got a new camera so no more excuses! We will take all the pictures you can handle! You will be sorry you ever complained to me!

This is at the back mountain and it was snowing so much! It looks like there is something hanging out of Travis's nose, but it's just snow.
Just freezing on the lift. Good thing I have a sweet outfit so I can feel good about myself. It's worth freezing just to look this good!! Ha ha!!

Some Things Never Change!

Just like my early childhood years of writing in a journal, I was never very faithful at keeping it up dated. Part of our reason we haven't updated our blog, is because our camera is broken so we can't post pictures of all the fun things we do, and Travis has no way to prove how big of fish he really catches!

For Valentines we went to the movie Step Up 2 (loved it!! So did Travis!) Then we spent the weekend in Midway, and we went snowboarding on Fri to Sundance. It was the most beautiful day. Then we headed up to Park City to shop and eat at our favorite Mexican Resturant, called the Baja Cantina. Then on Saturday we went snowboarding at the Canyons. It was so cold, cloudy, windy, and miserable. But the snow was pretty good. That place is awesome! So by about 3:00 we were feeling pretty worked, so we decided to head home, and don't worry, as soon as we got to Heber, it was blue skys all the way home. Not cool. But above all, it was a fabulous weekend. Also, I gave Travis the first season of Flight of the Concords. It is the funniest show of all. Anyone who doesn't like it.... we'll never be friends!!

What A Year 2007

2007 has been a great year for Liz and myself. We have been very busy with work, school, and everything else you can imagine. But it has also been a year full of excitement and adventures.

Here is a month to month look at the year 2007 for Travis & Liz

January 2007

After a late night of Lancaster's white elaphant gifts and bringing in the new year at Jon and Jamies. We started off the new year with a snowboarding trip to Big Springs Park up Provo Canyon. We were excited to try out our new boards/gear that we got for Christmas. Since this was Travis's first time and Liz's second we tired are best but ended up with sore butts and shttered confidences. The rest of the month consisted of starting school, diets, gym (Jan. Crap)and sleding with the whole Clegg family up at Soilder Hollow. Travis and Jeremy ended there best year of duck hunting with a couple successful hunts (taking Greg) and started the ice fishing season off with with outing on Utah Lake.

Febuary 2007

Febuary started off on a good note with a birthday party on the ice. For Jordans 19th birthday we took him to Fish Lake to catch tonz of fish and have a good time together. The rest of the month was just as exciting with the Colts finaly winning the super bowl, Liz and I finally learning how to snowboard from great teachers Doug and Brett at Sundance. Our Valentines was spent watching 2 nights of the action packed, Banff Film Festival which is our family favorite. To top the month off we boarded more, Travis went to Chicago for work, went to a Jazz v. Lakers game, helped Dan and Pam move, and Travis got to baptise Addie.

March 2007

Our annual winter trip to Lava Hot Springs was as fun as ever. We are really blessed to have such great friends. The main event of the trip was our sledding run we made just outside the cabin. It was so fast I lost control and rammed right into a tree. I thought I died or broke my leg. The rest of the vacation consisted of games, hot springs, movies, and eating tonz. To work off some of the weight of Lava, Travis went with Jeremy, Jordan, and Cash to the Great Basin National Park to help Jeremy with his thesis. We didn't find any good wells, but we did explore the Deeps, caught our first Native Lake Bonneville Cutt. Trout, Chased wild turkys, lost Travis's camera, and fixed a flat tire. After visting the Nevada desert Liz and I took an early spring trip to the Utah desert, St George where we biked Bear Claw Poppy with Mallary, Greg and Jord, rollerbladed, and watched Gunner hit home runs. On our way home we stopped by Zions to hike the narrows and see all its beauty. We celebrated Liz's 22nd birthday in Park Ciy with an afternoon full of shopping, biking, and watching Adrie perform at The Spur. To close out the month I went to the first ever Fly Fishing Film Festival. It was awesome!!!

April 2007

April had its ups and downs this year. It started out fantastic with our annual trip to Las Vegas and Valley of Fire. We went to the swap meet and had a great easter egg hunt with the kids. The down part of the month was my terrible sprained ankle I got from stepping on second base wrong while playing company soft ball. But that didn't hold me down for long, the next weekend I was up fly fishing for huge trout on a secret lake. I had an epic day, 4 different species of trout all over 4 pounds. April ended with our annual trip to the Green River to fish the BWO Hatch. This years trip was one to be beat. We floated the A section 3 straight days, catching fish on dry flies all day long.

May 2007

May marked the begining of camping season for the Gillespies. Liz and I took are first camping trip to Current Creek. Biking season was started with a outing to Payson Canyon. Travis went to California and Texas for work.

June 2007

"Are You Ready to F" was the motto of the 2007 Fishing Frenzy which I was invited. For the frenzy 10 of us fished some of the most famous trout rivers in the world for 5 days straight. It was like heaven. We stayed in Island Park and fished the Henry's Fork, Madison, Bufflo, and private lake. The rest of June was taken over by biking and more biking. (Travis went 11 times) One of the funnest events in June was the Norba Bike Races at Deer Valley Resort, the riders were awesome and the wrecks were sick! After the reaces we hit the bobsled trail and Brett and I landed a nice 5 foot drop. Liz and I also remodeled her salon to make it a little more stylish. We were also able to make it out boating a couple of times.

July 2007

July literally raced by for Liz and myself. Liz ran in the Provo freedom run 10K and she did so good that she beat me to the finish line. oops! That was ok because the day following we were packing up the Lancasters truck and heading to Star Valley for the boys fishing trip. This year was different though we were going to be staying in a 20x15 Wall Tent right on the Salt River bank. (What a Treat) The other difference was that this year we caught way more and bigger fish than ever. I got lucky and hooked a hog 18 inch Cutty that now stands as the largest fish caught on the Salt by our family. From Star Valley one weekend to Deer Valley the next. We found ourselves riding the down hill runs of one of the best bike resorts in the world. We both had so much fun ripping the DH. The highlight of July was our first float down the South Fork of the Snake. We floated 30 miles of river and camped 2 nights on the side of the river. We had a great time catching hungy Cuttys on big dry flies. Some of the hightlights include: Liz reading Twillight, fishing the sandbars, Jordans big Cutt, Zieed, and Crazy Moose. We also biked tonz, boated, and Travis fished the Provo River Caddis hatch.

August 2007

August was a very sad month. If it wasn't for Greg and Mallary's wedding (Greg is a stud) I think I would of just skipped it. I lost one of my best friends and fishing partners for a couple of years. Jordan left on his mission to Iowa and it has been hard not having him around. But on the bright side the week before he left we got to go on one last fishing trip down the Green. Besides the wickedest hell/rain storm I have ever witnessed. It was the best streamer fishing I have ever been part of, and a great way to send him on this way. To make the month worst I got snunked again on the deer hunt. I think the deer are laughing at me. Nick also sealed the deal and got married to Emily. Attaboy Nick! Liz had a great month, after training hard for her half marathon. She finished in a great time.

September 2007

In our house September means Lake Powell and you know what that means? Fun in the hot sun! We spent five days down on a house boat with Doug and Steph and the Fernados. It was a blast! We wakeboarded, surfed, fished, and just laid out. I even read the book Twillight. (Watch Out Bella) The morning after we got back Liz took off to Nashville, Tenn. to help her sister April with their new baby and left me with five kids of my own to tend. (The Fernandos) It was ok cause they are such good kids and we had alot of fun together. Some of the hightlights of the month was our hike up to Meadow Lake in the Unitas, Fishing Price River, Going to hunters safety with Gunner and taking him on the Youth Waterfowl Hunt where he bagged his first 2 ducks.

October 2007

October is my favorite month of the year and here are the reasons why. #1 Fish Lake with the Gillespie's. We stayed at the Elk Horn cabin at the lodge. It was super cold but that was ok cause I brought the Duck Hunting gear for the opening day. Jer and I got five Mallards on a pond that was 95% frozen. #2 Brown trout spawn on the Price River with Dane and Chris. #3 Lancaster Deer Hunting was so nice this year with the big tent. #4 Middle Provo BWO Hatch. #5 My 25th birthday/Halloween party at Stepfanie's Cabin in Farview. We had the best time playing pit, bobing for apples and donuts and watching Jared wet himself while watching The Messagers. We even when four wheeling in the mud and snow to get to Electric Lake with the Allreds.

November 2007

November was are slowest month of the year. The only really hightlight was our trip to New York for our 3rd anniversary. It was a great trip. Liz got to shop a ton, I while i had to work. The best part of the trip was that our hotel was right on Times Square. During our time in NY we saw: Yankee Stadium, Ground Zero, China Town, Little Italy (best NY pizza), Rockafeller Square, Central Park, and everything else...especially HQ.

December 2007

December is the craziest month of them all. It started out with opening day at Sundance. Liz and I got season passes this year so we have been taken advvantage of the soft powder and snowy weather. I went snowboarding every Friday and Saturday for the first three weekends and 8 times total. It was rad! Christmas took the rest of the time, with parties every minute. this year Liz and I decided to surprise each other and get a new TV. I guess it wasn't much of a surprise. But we love our 61 inch surprise. Some of the other things we got were a Disney Land trip, Ipod binie, DVD Recorder, Clothes, Shoes, and a motor for my boat. In all we had alot to be thankful for this year. We have great families, the best friends, and a God who loves us.
